Every once in a while I like to decorate our fair maiden for the holidays, which is a lot of fun for me. She has worn ballerina attire, dressed in pink for Valentine’s Day, and worn a red velvet shawl at Christmas time. While out shopping after lunch last month with my friend and former librarian Anna, I found this perfect patriotic star crown at Hobby Lobby! I am so happy to introduce her as our Little Lady Liberty…
Post: Sunday Sentiments: Our Fair Maiden, Who is She?
While I only took a couple of photos of our girl wearing her new star crown, I thought I’d do a little photo retrospective of photos from the past as we share her new look.

Valentine’s Day, a favorite holiday for dress up!
Little Miss Maiden changes out her clipped on flower from cream to pink quite often, plus she almost always wears pearls. They are her signature look!

When we were living in our RV Prairie Home, she sat in the window sill admiring the views out of doors…

One of my favorite photoshoots ever was this Valentine’s tablescape created while we lived at Wagon Master RV Park & Alpaca Farm. The late afternoon sunshine was welcoming and Mr. Yoda came outside, too.
The wide open views were really magical there at the park! If you’d like to see more posts from that time, check out posts from November 2016 – February 2019.

Other fanciful holidays
I went through a fairytale phase here on the blog, which was a lot of fun. For this evening ball mantel, I created the golden shoe in front of the clock-face. Cinderella was in her element!

Of course, Christmas is also another beautiful time for our little maiden to shine! Here she wears a hat I wore that year to the Dickens festival down on Galveston Island. Our friend Laura Ingalls Gunn invited me to meet her there for an entire weekend of Cosplay ~ everyone was dressed up! We went to a delightful Southern high tea wearing 1860’s recreations. Laura loaned me one of her skirts and a blouse plus the original straw hat ~ the beginnings of this final wintertime green velvet bonnet.
And one last look at our maiden dressed as a Christmas angel… Post: Ethereal Christmastide.

And we are right back to the beginning again with our maiden as Lil’ Lady Liberty… I’ll have to keep an eye out for a red or blue flower clip-on that she could wear with her crown.
Thank you for sharing in these memories of our sweet maiden girl! I hope you’ve enjoyed reliving them as much as I have and maybe you’ll enjoy re-reading some of those older posts. Always nice to revisit older posts as they inspire and re-energize!
