Hello everyone! I have been taking a break from blogging these past couple of weeks, as you can see by the lack of posts here in October. It’s not that I don’t have some pics for you, but I can’t:

  1. Photograph the kitchen because it is a mess.
  2. The new washer and dryer are in, but I kept the old dryer for a friend. Turns out her new house isn’t set for a gas dryer… So, we still need to post it out on Facebook Marketplace and see if someone could use it. It is sitting in the dining room area next to the china hutch.
  3. I am just tired from working five days a week. I love my job working with Special Education, but my body is tired. The whack in the head a few weeks ago when an 8′ post dislodged after I closed the gate (which didn’t close well; Charles has now fixed that, thank you!) didn’t do me any favors, either. Yoda was hit with it also. I did go to the emergency room on the following Monday and I just had a mild concussion. 🙂

So I am hoping to get back to regular posts soon! I’ve been walking a lot and we are still working on the fence. We are going to begin putting in posts for the south fence this coming weekend and we are also going to work on insulating the new garden shed. It’s still good weather outside so this is the time to get fall projects done. 🙂

And here are this week’s featured posts…

    1. Thank you, Debra! I am feeling much better. Just a few headaches here and there, which might be related more to the weather and loud kids at school… 😉 Glad you enjoyed the feature!!

  2. You have had a very eventful October…..hope November will be better…hugs Thank you so much for taking time to have a party for us this week and a special thanks for the feature!

  3. Oh my goodness, Barb, I can’t believe you got hit on the head by a fence post falling. That is terrible! I am glad that it was nothing more serious than a mild concussion. I do hope you are feeling better and rested soon. Thank you so much for featuring my Tin Wife costume this week!

  4. Hope you are getting and feeling better Barb! Sometimes we all need a break, and things can get so overwhelming or tired at times, so of course you need a time off! Don’t worry about not posting regularly – we’ll be here waiting for your beautiful posts when you are ready!!!

  8. Barb, thank you for hosting. My Swedish Meatball Meatloaf is #46 today. Please pay close attention to that concussion. Even a “mild” concussion can cause unforeseen problems, so don’t take it lightly, as people are inclined to do.

    1. Thank you, Jean! I am aware of the potential problems with concussions. Ironically, I was slugged at school today in a spot close to where I was hit just over a month ago now. Not the best timing, lol! At WC clinic now to get checked. SYS will be up later at 7:00pm because of… I’ll look for your post! 💕

  9. Thanks so much for featuring my Halloween bucket, Barb, I really appreciate it! I’m so thankful you wen to the doctor to have yourself and Yoda checked out. IT sounds like a scary experience. Hope you’ll be feeling like yourself soon and on the mend! Hugs, CoCo

  10. Geez Barb, I think we need to wrap you in bubble wrap! Seriously though — ouch! So sorry about you and Yoda getting hit by the pole. Hope you both are feeling better.
