Share Your Style #519

A tree with colorful autumn leaves, with text overlay announcing 'Share Your Style' event on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 6pm CST, featuring home decor, DIY gardens, and more.

Happy Wednesday evening, everyone, and welcome to this week’s Share Your Style #519! Funny, as I was setting up for tonight’s link party, I realized I never posted anything last week (other than SYS). I had some things mostly ready to go, but life got in the way. Mr. Ethereal finished the final eave and peak of our house this past weekend. Yeah!!! I was on yard and acorn detail ~ removal, that is. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Now for a couple of weeks off to do some other honey-do projects, a service project for IOOF, and to get some rest before Phase 2. Isn’t fall wonderful?… Let’s see this week’s features…

I am Barbara Chapman and I’d love it if you’d follow me here on my blog and on any of my other social media sites, too.  Thank you!๐Ÿ’œ

Final thoughts…

Several bloggers mentioned in today’s posts that we lost “one of our own” this past week… Mary from Home is Where the Boat Is passed away recently. Her family posted one final post on her blog, and I know I was stunned… and crying… With a Heavy Heart: Remembering Mary and a Message of Thanks.

I know I think of you all throughout the week, even if I don’t stop by all that often. I honestly don’t think until we lose someone we have never met in person, just how much we mean to each other…

Love you all, dearhearts,

  2. Thanks for sharing the news about Mary, Barb, with this community! Thinking of her family during this difficult time. Thanks so much for featuring our post filled with easy Halloween recipes. What a fun surprise! Congrats to Mr. Ethereal for finishing up his project and good luck with acorn detail. We’ve got a bit of that to do, too!

    1. Thank you, Laura! Charles was visibly happy to finally be done with that project. It is definitely the biggest project he has ever done for our family. Yes, acorns will be going on for another month… ugh! The baby squirrels are enjoying picking them off the trees, though, and munching them. So cute!!! Glad you enjoyed the feature. Oh! Amy was thrilled with your recipe!! She makes goodies for work every Halloween.

      Enjoy your weekend, Barb ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you, Debbie! I am visiting more folks lately, now that I am not outside as much. Also trying to decorate more, too, for myself. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thank you for the well wishes!!

  4. Hi Barb, life does seem to have more chores needing done in October. Have a great week ahead, and thanks for hosting!

    1. Thank you, Melynda. It is definitely acorn season with leaf season coming fast behind it! Sure am enjoying the cooler weather. 80’s during the day with 50s at night, well, you know! being there in East Texas!! I miss the pine tree smell of the Southern California mountains, but there are a few on one of my walks. Enjoy yours out there!

Happy almost the weekend, Barb ๐Ÿ™‚
