Share Your Style #501

Advertisements

Hello everyone and welcome to this week’s Share Your Style #501! Yes, we have rolled over into a new “century,” or centuria, per Google AI. I looked it up, and yes, this is the correct word as “century” encompasses “any grouping of 100 things,” and not just our typical understanding of the word. Pretty cool! Well, let’s jump into this week’s features, shall we? And yes… We have a winner!

I am Barbara Chapman and I’d love it if you’d follow me here on my blog and on any of my other social media sites, too.  Thank you!💜

French Ethereal: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest

Right off, I want to thank you to everyone who liked, subscribed and went over and did the same on my Instagram and Facebook pages! I appreciate your participating in last week’s RafflePress “Tea in a Basket” Giveaway where we reached the milestone of 500 SYS posts.

“Tea in a Basket” minus the tea mystery book by Laura Childs, which I forgot to put into the basket when taking the first round of photographs, lol!

And our winner is: Jackie Borin from Arizona! Congratulations to you Jackie!!!

Jackie and I have been friends from way back when our boys were in kindergarten or even preschool together. We lived just a few houses away from each other, and Sam and Peter often spent the night at one or the other of our houses ~ on weekends during the school year and more during the summers. They were in Tiger Cubs together in the same troop and squad (can’t quite remember what that was called), then Cub Scouts and Webelos as part of the Boy Scouts of America. They were both in up until the end of middle school, I think. Peter finished his Scouting days as a senior in high school earning his Eagle award. Lots of fond memories there…

I do wish I could have sent everyone who entered a basket of goodies. 🙂

Maybe we will do another giveaway for Christmas! Now that I know how to use the RafflePress widget. 😉

Thank you to everyone again for entering!!!

Now onto today’s featured posts…

.

Here’s what I shared this past week at French Ethereal…

Coming up in tomorrow’s post, we will be taking a look at what I did and who I visited with in California. The skies were perfect with 80 degree days all week long! Ocean breezes swept into the Sacramento Valley coming over the Coastal range and right off the Pacific. Like all good vacations, I am always happy to return home.

Now that I am rested from the trip, I am back working on the buffet I started on about two summers ago (actually, three summers and into that fall of 2023!). It is coming along. 😉 And it smells a heck of a lot better!

Hopefully I will finish work on it this weekend and have a post sharing its transformation in a couple of weeks. I will be trying it again in the house. Fingers crossed & prayers appreciated!
