Happy Wednesday, everyone! Welcome to this week’s Share Your Style #450 as we celebrate all things winter and Valentine’s!!! My own post for this week shares a small look at my kitchen (a corner) and a post I’ve just put up. Let’s check out this week’s featured posts…
***And just a note, until Hubby gets working again, we are on a pretty tight budget. So… I cannot renew my annual Inlinkz link up account. It was $2.99/month, which it has been for a number of years. However, the cost has risen to $7.99/month and I just can’t afford it.
Until further notice, only 50 posts can be linked for free, just so you know. For everyone else, I’m sorry but please try and link up again next week.
I hate to do that as we were over 100, and often over 200 entries each week and sometimes more, which has been a lot of fun for me! I hope SYS will be back to normal soon. ๐

I just loved your shadowbox/tray/frame, Barb. It’s so pretty, so elegant. Thank you for including me in your features this week. More from England!
Thank you, Jeanie! I’m glad you enjoyed my Valentine’s frame centerpiece. It’s still there on the kitchen counter, too. ๐ I joke about not being able to show the kitchen often but it’s true. I’ve reclaimed that part of the kitchen for sharing, yeah! (silly, I know.) Glad you’ve shared more from England this SYS. Enjoy your new week!!!
Barb,
Sorry to hear you husband is out of work…Praying he finds a great job soon…You have to do what you need to do so do not worry about the party…
My Link Ups for this week’s party are # 11, 12 and 13….
Thank you for the feature and for your very kind words…2024 has dealt me one final blow as my best friend Anne Marie was diagnosed with Stage 4 uterine cancer shortly after Joe’s Funeral service…She passed way on Monday even though I did not think she would make it til the end of 2024…I have been mourning her secretly over the last few months as I really did not share her illness online but to ask for prayers for her…It has been quite a year…
I gave you a Shout out on my FB page and will also do so in my next post!! Thanks again!
Hugs,
Deb

Oh, Debbie… I’m sorry to hear about your friend Anne Marie’s passing. My longest known best friend Janet is going through chemo right now for breast cancer (also double mastectomy). It was caught early but gosh, life has a way of just throwing more curveballs, doesn’t it?
As I type this, I’m watching a YouTuber called Santa Monica Close Up (found during the fires in Jan.) and seeing some of the clean up going on out in Pacific Palisades. Though we didn’t live anywhere near there (about 90 miles from where we lived inland and south), California is still in my heart after 42 years there. Just another beautiful winter day in Southern California… Makes me think that with all tragedy, life goes on and we have to keep going on, even on the tough days. <3
I hope as this first year comes to a close that maybe it'll get a little easier for you. <3 Years ago, when my first fiancรฉ died (I was 21, he was 20 and 5 months), I was sooo devastated for about 4 years, but honestly, I held onto that pain for 30 years. Way too long. Another YouTuber, Abby who shares on The Chateau Chronicles from Seattle and France (where her chateau is) just talked about how she finally let go of her husband who died in the 9-11 World Trade Centers. She finally let go and now says she is a retired widow, ha! I thought I'd pass that along. Oh, and Janet lost her husband last summer to Lewy Body dementia. He was my first boyfriend and we were all friends together in high school. He was a great guy, so funny! They knew my first fiancรฉ and were there for me when he died in his bicycle/car accident.
Anyway, I was thinking of you and thought maybe others would want to rally around you, too. <3 Life is hard and if it can be made a little easier with a little love from friends, even ones we've never formally met, then that's what I/we will do. Love you, my friend! Hope it's warming up out your way, too. <3
Always beautiful features! Have a great week ahead, Melynda @scratchmadefood!
Thank you so much for your kind thought, Melynda! I’ll look for your posts. <3
Take care, and all the best for you and hubby.

Thank you, Esme! I keep forgetting to get over for your party. Some weeks there just isn’t enough brain power, you know? Hope you have a great week!! <3
Hi Barb, I love all the creative (Beth’s!) and sentimental takes on Valentine’s Day. I’m sharing my tablescape for the holiday with the universal love of cardinals. Thank you for the party!
Rita, I’m excited to read your cardinals post! I saw you had a Valentine’s party last week and I’ve read some of the posts linked. I’ll look for yours as I will be doing more Valentine’s posts this week as shares/features. Enjoy your week!! <3
