Friends, I am sorry about last week! I got home late last Wednesday afternoon from flying in from Paris, and because of the time zone changes, I just had no energy to get Share Your Style up. But, I am back and feel mostly back to normal so this week is a go. 🙂

Paris was a lot of fun! Everywhere you look within the city, it’s like watching a movie!! I started back to school today and I think it is going to be a great year, of which I am grateful. <3

A young lady who has a presence on YouTube shared this film crew’s actors in period costume (1930’s/1940’s). I am guessing it is the same group since they were in front of the the same building!

Amy and I did actually see a film company’s lighting crew walking around with equipment and vans parked here, across the street (Rue du Rivoli, I think) from the mayor’s office building.

If you were part of your local city council, wouldn’t you want to work here?!

I’ll try and find that photo and add it here to this post for you… (That’s it, above).

Now, let’s get to this week’s features!

Here’s what I shared this past week at French Ethereal…

Happy Wednesday, dear friends! Hubs and I were out in the heat wave this weekend working on a new shed for the backyard. Yes, you heard correctly, #2, only this one is much smaller. (Post coming soon!) I have been writing posts today but the one I want to share isn’t quite done. But here’s a little tease of the new shed…

It was really windy when I took this. A wild hair got in the lens’ way!

I went with my mother-in-law to Costco last week and picked up this one for the side yard to house our lawn mower and all of the stinky lawn things, like fertilizers, the weed wacker and gas powered things. We didn’t want them adding their odiferous scents to the really nice shed so this should be a good spot for them AND this will free up space in the garage for Mr. Ethereal to create a bigger, better workshop area!

As we head into summer in just a few days, let’s check out some fun summertime ideas! I’ve linked a few of my own into the party at the bottom, too, if you’d like some more inspiration. So let’s get this party started, shall we?

And here are this week’s featured posts…

Debbie from Debbie-Dabble is back with an summery update from around her home ~ Flowers Planted and a Few New Things. Love the pops of red!
Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge brings on the heat with this gorgeous dress in her post ~ 4 Style Tips for Dressing Up for Special Events in 2022. This is de rigueur for me since I am looking for easy travel clothing to take to France…
Newcomer Stephanie from Steph Creates – DIY Home & Crafts shared this sweet basket DIY in her first post here at SYS ~ DIY Wood Crate Floral Display with Mini Watering Can. Fun idea!!!
Lynne from Thrifting Wonderland shared this pretty floral post ~
Sunday Flowers in an Italian Bag. Love the super bright colors!!!

Jennifer from Curated by Jennifer shared her fun thrifting find in this post from Holland, Michigan ~ Linen Dress in Tulip Fields. Gorgeous tulips and love the dress, too!
Penny from Penny’s Treasures shared a new-to-me (and maybe you, too!) area of her home in this post ~ Summer Reading Nook in the Studio. You’ve got to check it out! Penny also shared a swaparoo in this post ~ Hand-Me-Down Rug for the Front Porch.

Happy Wednesday to y’all! Oh my, are you having a tough time with the time change?? Does your area even do daylight savings time? I know some countries and areas of the United States do not.

No matter whether we “fall back” or “spring forward,” I am always a bit wiped out with the change. How about for you? This is probably what’s up with our kiddos at school, too. 😉 Anyway, I feel better after last week’s knock in the head and am back to work after three days off on Worker’s Comp.

Hello everyone! I have been taking a break from blogging these past couple of weeks, as you can see by the lack of posts here in October. It’s not that I don’t have some pics for you, but I can’t:

  1. Photograph the kitchen because it is a mess.
  2. The new washer and dryer are in, but I kept the old dryer for a friend. Turns out her new house isn’t set for a gas dryer… So, we still need to post it out on Facebook Marketplace and see if someone could use it. It is sitting in the dining room area next to the china hutch.
  3. I am just tired from working five days a week. I love my job working with Special Education, but my body is tired. The whack in the head a few weeks ago when an 8′ post dislodged after I closed the gate (which didn’t close well; Charles has now fixed that, thank you!) didn’t do me any favors, either. Yoda was hit with it also. I did go to the emergency room on the following Monday and I just had a mild concussion. 🙂

So I am hoping to get back to regular posts soon! I’ve been walking a lot and we are still working on the fence. We are going to begin putting in posts for the south fence this coming weekend and we are also going to work on insulating the new garden shed. It’s still good weather outside so this is the time to get fall projects done. 🙂

And here are this week’s featured posts…

Debra from Common Ground is back with a lovely all-white fall vignette in this post (featuring her Snowy Owls DIY) ~ October Entry with Snow Owls. Lovely!!!

Well, my computer is fixed but for whatever reason, WordPress has gone and done something with how one “colors” words/phrases, etc… The weird yellow highlighting sections last week WAS NOT there when I published and now it is, and I can’t remove any of it without redoing the section… Makes me want to roll my eyes and act like one of my PABS students, lol!

This is also going to be a short SYS this week because I have a raging migraine from too much noise at school today (mostly students screaming).

I will publish here at 6:00pm but it won’t be DONE until probably closer to 7:00pm with all the features, just so you know. 🙂 Other than that, Hubby and I picked up more wood posts and some other materials this past weekend prepping for Phase 2 of the fence move/rebuild. Hopefully beginning this coming weekend, depending upon weather. 🙂

Well, let’s get into this week’s features, shall we??

And here are this week’s featured posts…

Well, friends, my computer is fixed (yeah!)!!! It turned out to be just a matter of moving over a year+ of photos (and their folders) and a bunch of documents and videos. Then the Apple tech was able to help me download a new operating system ~ Mojave. Technically this is an older system now, but new to my 9 year old Mac Book Pro!

So let’s check out all the wonderful features from two weeks ago this week! And I have been ignoring all the skeletons and Halloween things, but I do enjoy tablescapes so one or two might creep in… (pun intended). 😉

Here’s what I shared this past week at French Ethereal…

Fall in the Potting Shed ~ a look at how our shed is coming along as we bring garden supplies and equipment inside as well as updates coming in the future.

And here are this week’s featured posts…

I love Debra of Common Ground’s French farmhouse style and her use of whites with greys and this post Fall Centerpiece Basket with Pumpkins just fits soooo perfectly! Lovely…

This week’s SYS is all about crafts, a little DIY, and fall decor ~ perfect for upcoming holiday fetes and gift giving ideas!

Enjoy!!

Here’s what I shared this past week at French Ethereal…

Add a Little Fall Color to Your Bedroom ~ an offshoot Pinterest Challenge post.
Please keep Cindy who writes County Road 407 in your prayers. Her son was in a serious motorcycle accident over the weekend.

Because Cindy puts the Pinterest Challenges together each month, it was obviously cancelled. Then, a few other bloggers decided to host it anyway. With the mix-up, I’ve published mine separately since it was ready. 🙂 I hope you will check it out, thank you!!
