Create a Charming St. Patrick’s Day Centerpiece in Five Minutes Tops!

Hello everyone, and welcome to a quick 5-Minute St. Patrick’s Day centerpiece which can be created in really no time! Let’s make this…

I began this centerpiece with a new crocheted placemat found this winter at HomeGoods in a four-pack (not sponsored). I love its lacy look and it gives the right look for a bit of shamrock inspiration!

I hoped to use the real maroon shamrocks planted in a big planter out in the garden as part of today’s centerpiece. These were found up in South Dakota at a large and beautiful garden center there a year ago May.

Only problem? They dried out and I hadn’t noticed… ugh! After a quick watering and waiting a couple of hours, they began perking up but were still too droopy.

So, I created a second vignette for you within them! Anyway, I am sure you know where I was going with this St. Patty’s Day centerpiece:

  • Creating a sweet Leprechaun fairy garden… My original idea for today’s centerpiece.

Since the shamrocks were really much too wet to bring inside, we pivoted…

  • I didn’t have to look far for this green Christmas cactus to use as our background greenery. In its blue and white chinoiserie pot, this succulent has the right height and scale to use on our antique oak dining room table.

  • Hobby Lobby provided the little leprechaun. The sparkly St. Patrick’s Day necklaces were found last year in Corsicana, Texas at the Wal-Mart there (also not sponsored). I did notice that Wal-Mart has similar necklaces again this season, in case you need some for your parties and decorating! 🙂
  • Tucking-in a small vintage-inspired standing “postcard” and laying some gold coins around finished our centerpiece.

  • Oh, and a cute square creamware cake plate sprinkled with shamrocks!

Really, simple decor changes which don’t require a lot of time but are big on style are a total win!

This little bit of leprechaun fun, I feel, fits the bill! No blarney included. 😉
