A Sprinkle of Ethereal Sparkliness…

.

.

A little bit of sparkle has been happening at our house this past week… A lovely beauty about 7 1/2′ tall showed up on my doorstep and asked if I wouldn’t help decorate it for Christmas. Of course I said yes!

.

I am very happy to partner with King of Christmas this holiday season. This incredibly beautiful Christmas tree is the 7.5′ Rushmore Flock Artificial Christmas Tree with 750 Warm White LED Lights woven into its branches.

Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚

KIng of Christmas is having good sales right now, so actually now is a good time to buy!

The tag says “A” but this is really piece “C.” The tags were accidentally switched at the warehouse. ๐Ÿ˜‰ This is the top piece.

I thought this tree looked lovely on King of Christmas’ website, but it is even more beautiful in person! When you pull the three sections out of the box, you can feel the needles and they feel soft and pretty realistic.

The branches are covered in small 1/4″ round warm LED lights making this tree really stand out at night. A remote control comes with each tree and as you press the button, the lights change from a solid “on” to a “random mode” and to lighting which starts out “softly on” then gradually comes on full. I particularly like the sing-song mode where the lights are random but you could definitely turn on some Christmas music and feel like the tree is singing along!

There are about 10 different light settings to choose from depending upon what you feel like viewing at the time. I have been having fun displaying a different light mode each evening since setting up the tree. ๐Ÿ™‚

Choosing a tree

I have been a fan of KIng of Christmas since we moved into our house. That first Christmas here, I looked for a pre-lit Christmas wreath and found King of Christmas online. I stepped out and bought that lovely wreath and it comes out each Christmas season.

Merry Christmas! ~ A post I wrote in 2019 sharing my King of Christmas wreath decorated (by me) with white poinsettias.

Taking a look at all the different trees on KIng of Christmas’ website, I was thinking about finding a tree which looked really real. That’s why I chose the flocked Rushmore tree . For me, it has just the right amount of flocking covering its branches, yet parts of the needles are still green. I like that.

And I am happy to report that the flocking didn’t shed very much as I was putting the tree together! What did brush off vacuums up really easily. ๐Ÿ™‚

Did I ever tell you that I worked for four seasons at a Christmas tree farm in Northern California back when I was in my late teens to early 20’s?? I’ll look for a photo and see if I can’t put that in here for you. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Well, working there taught me about Christmas trees: how to cut them so that they will regrow from the stump which remains planted, what each tree type is, and how the needles grow on each tree type’s branches.

The Rushmore Christmas tree, flocked and unflocked, look very much like a living Fraser fir. Fir trees have needles which surround the entire branchlets to which they are attached and that’s what I was looking for in a faux Christmas tree.

Setting up your tree

The instructions which came with this tree are easy to read. I was totally excited to find that as you put the second piece of the tree together with the first, it immediately lit up. No plugging something together first! Putting the top piece on, it also magically lit up, too.

Attached to the topper there is a plug to attach a tree top ornament into to light it up. I am usually having to run wires from our bright blue star down the length of other trees we’ve had. This will make it much easier when I do find a topper I’d like to add. ๐Ÿ™‚

I found that the base for putting the tree in is really wide and can be maneuvered to fit your spot, which I thought was handy. (see above)

.

Let’s see this tree with some ornaments adorning it!

I draped strings of crystal beads, pearls and combinations of those around the tree then added hand-blown icicle ornaments. After adding those, I began with all of the sparkly ornaments I have in creamy whites, gold, silver and spots of color here and there.

More will go on as this is just a beginning, but I thought I’d share how this KIng of Christmas tree looks so far.

I love its open branches for hanging long dangling ornaments! It is exactly what I was hoping for in this Christmas tree!! I do hope you will stop by King of Christmas to take a look at their products. I appreciate you and enjoy this merry season!!!

.

Early Christmas hugs,

    1. Good morning, Jeanie! I hope you had a wonderful trip!! Iโ€™ve been on a criminal case all week serving as a juror. Interesting process but glad it is over. I was really happy to have been chosen by King of Christmas. Excited to add more decorations to this lovely tree as we get them down. Enjoy your weekend!!
