💝

A Look Back A year-and-a-half ago I joined Share Your Style and a few months later the original members went on to other things. Pretty soon it was just myself learning how to host a party and I am happy I made the decision to keep SYS going… Now, during this quarantine time, we will just “Keep calm and carry on,” and this is our theme for the week. I am seeing more and more design influencers writing with “staying home” in mind. Beautiful thoughts which need to be shared!

I think we all are learning from each other everyday just how to live, how to pray fervently for our families and friends that they stay healthy, we are praying for others in our nation, and in nations across our world. During these times that we haven’t been seen since our grandparents and great-grandparents were alive, it is important to stay in touch… As always, I am glad that you are here and there are so many great posts to choose from to share with you this week…

I am Barbara Chapman your host and I’d love it if you’d follow me here on my blog and on any of my other social media sites, too. I appreciate you!  Thank you! 😉

Here’s what I shared this week at

Simple and Easy Ways to Dry Flowers ~ a favorite thing to do every time I receive a bouquet of roses from my husband!

I have a bunch of posts in the works but they aren’t quite ready. Do stop back by tomorrow as I am hosting a Spring DIY & Craft Round-Up with five designing friends of ours!

Here are this week’s featured posts…
Fabiana of Fabby’s Living shared an English Quarantine Tea Time table with us this past week. I love how Fabby shares about where each of her family members lives in their big building in Ecuador! Fabby, if you run into a woman in her later-50’s whose name used to be Silvana Ocampo before she married (from Loja, Ecuador), she was an exchange student back in 1978 or 1979 and a really good friend of mine in high school. 💖

The chickens have come out of the roost over at Penny’s Treasures in this sweet post ~ Chickens in Our Early Spring Yard. Penny always has the cutest decor to put out for any season!

Lori at Dining Delight shared some really good tips on photographing baby’s first birthday and how to make these adorable hanging flowers in the background! Isn’t her granddaughter Harper just precious?!! ~ Tips for a Successful DIY Cake-Smash Photo Shoot.

Sandra from Dinner at Eight set a beautiful lilac-filled table with bunnies and vintage lilac china from the 1940’s and 1950’s… Love the purples!!! ~ Spring Comes in Shades of Violet and Lavender.
Simply sweet violets spring decorating with violets
Amber of Follow the Yellow Brick Home shared another stunning post filled with the sweet scent of violets!!! One of my favorite flowers and perhaps yours, too. 💜~ Small Spring Pleasures – Simply Sweet Violets.

We need something yummy to go with all of our table settings and Thelma of Thel’s Kitchen shared a Crock Pot Roast recipe she cooked with rationing during this pandemic in mind. Delicious!

And because we all need a good project or two to keep us busy while we are all at home, how about this gorgeous Ikea Shelving Hack from The Style Sisters? Totally love the pop of black and white!!
Big virtual hugs to you!!!

  1. I'm so thrilled to see my granddaughter's pic and my post about DIY Cake Smash Photo Shoot featured here Barb!! Thank you so much for highlighting it and your kind words about Harper! Appreciate it and your efforts in hosting this lovely party.

  2. Barb, I do love how the blogging community is making such huge efforts to continue sharing positive and joyful content right now. It is so important to stay connected and keep shining bright and loving kindness into internet land! Thank you for that. Shelbeewww.shelbeeontheedge.com

  3. Thank you for the feature pretty Barb, it's such an honor ! It sure made my day, as this Virus situation gets to me sometimes, especially when I hear of death numbers, etc. You put a smile on my face today ! Please keep safe and healthy pretty lady.Air hugs,FabbyPS: How wonderful that you have an exchange student friend from Loja, which is five hours away from Cuenca, where er reside. In this new post I explain how my husband and his family keep contact with their American sister from the early 60s, when she was an exchange here and their sister at their house.

  4. So many beautiful features again this week, Barb. It's so sweet you've brought us all together to a place where we can share and encourage each other through everything. It means so much as do you 🙂 Hugs, CoCo
