Challenge question from last week: On a fireplace, is it a mantel or mantle? Why? Good luck!

Answer: On a fireplace, “mantel” is the correct spelling. The other “mantle” is the kind you would have in a Coleman lantern to light your way or is also another way to say “cloak.”

Hope this was a fun mini challenge for you!

  1. Thank you so much Barb for featuring my Valentine Tiered Tray! So flattered to be chosen and so grateful to you for hosting this lovely gathering each week! Thanks also for the correct spelling of a fireplace mantel…I'm just picky but it drives me crazy to see it the other way! LOL
