Rain and Happy Belated 4th!!!!

Happy Belated 4th of July
to you all!
We spent a quiet day here
at home.

This flag was replaced with our
“Stars and Stripes”
on the 4th; however, this is the photo
I took last week
so…
I’m leading out this week’s story with it!
😉

We have had a lot of home showings lately,

hence partly why I have been

off the grid!

Though sad to be leaving this home,

I know we will land somewhere

and it will be
a new adventure to share with you!

I am excited about decorating a new place…

More on that in another post…

🙂

Lately, I have been painting walls, the laundry room,

our son’s former bedroom,

painting baseboards and doorway surrounds.

I’ve been putty-ing a few door moldings, too,

that have been dinged and hurt from before our time.

The house is happier for it

and is starting to really shine!

With all this coming beauty…

It has been exhausting!

;0)

  • I opened up the ISO speed of our Canon EOS Rebel to 800 or 1600 to get these shots. I am totally excited that I was able to capture rainfall for you!!!

Here I was trying to capture the rainfall bouncing off

    the ground
in the photo with the umbrella stand.
The barrels are what I collect rainfall in
to water plants in the yard for free.
    Got about 1/2 full barrels…
    🙂

The exciting part is that
it rained last week!!!
For most of you, that’s no big event,
but
for us here in California
RAIN is BIG NEWS!!!

Wind was blowing like crazy,

the hollyhocks danced,

a little lightning flashed,

and
thunder rumbled above my head,
but I stayed
warm and dry
underneath the patio cover…

Deuteronomy 28:12

“The LORD will open for you His good storehouse, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.

***I thought about taking out the part about “borrowing”, especially since ALL of us have to borrow from banks, anymore, to buy a home.  However, I believe that isn’t what this is referring to… It means to be generous and try to make do on your own.  🙂  Good character traits, always! 🙂

Enjoy your weather
wherever you are today!

Have a blessed day,
