Hello, dear friends, and welcome to this week’s Share Your Style #484! I hope y’all have everything underway and prepped for this weekend’s snows and ice storms. That’s actually why I missed getting SYS up on Wednesday as I was outside moving mulched leaves around plants. More to do, but also why I now make SYS to publish on either Wednesday or Thursday on the lead photo! Let’s get to this week’s features as we celebrate winter decorating and Valentine’s Day coming soon…

Here’s what I shared this past week at French Ethereal…

And here are this week’s featured posts…
Starting the New Year Right! Fun post with lots of family time and a Lego project…
You MUST go by and check it out! ๐
***Friends, I wanted to share now that I’ve seen the video from Jeanie’s post, PBS is hosting a documentary about the life of a young boy named Eric who had cerebral palsy and passed away way too young. However, his life was blessed with wonderful teachers and music, and his love of music lives on in an extraordinary music camp, Camp RicStar, created through the work of his parents, former teachers and many volunteers.
Please visit Jeanie’s link above, or through this link here to PBS Camp RicStar to view this inspirational film of music changing the lives of people with special needs. This is a blessing you don’t want to miss!

Thanks so much, Barb, for including me in your features. I loved your silver cleaning post and implemented it, as you’ll see in one of the shares above! Pretty good results too! And it had to work VERY hard! Happy week.
Jeanie, I know I replied I elsewhere but I wanted to say again how much I really enjoyed your post and now after seeing RicStar, what a story!!! I loved seeing his parents at the very end visiting with Eric and planting around his headstone. Their names are already there… Such wonderful love created something so beautiful! Rock on!!! Again, I’m glad the silver polishing trick worked on your silver. Oh! Quick story: My daughter Amy gave me a little garden house 3D balsa wood pop-out to put together. So, while Peter was building his Lego DeLorean time machine, I was building my little Greenhouse. Like your Lego cat (love that he is missing a leg!!!), I’m 9/10th done and I can’t make a Valentine’s table setting post until I finish the thing! ๐ I’m just happy I got the wiring in it right and that works! Will share it when it’s completed.
Going down to 15 deg tonight but the plastic greenhouse, now double wrapped, is holding around 40 degrees with its heater. ๐
Stay warm,
Barb ๐

Thank you, Debbie! I always appreciate your kind words. <3 I hope you are staying warm and safe up there in PA. We are going down to 15 deg tonight and supposedly to around 1 deg on Monday morning…. Our heaters in the She Shed and outdoor greenhouse are blasting! I've set the outdoor one at 75 and it's holding temps around 40 deg. Will keep a close eye on it all night into Monday to keep it going. Might hang an extra plastic inside to make heating the space smaller…
Keep warm, my friend,
Barb ๐
Thanks for another great party Barb. I’ve wanted to try that silver cleaning technique for awhile now and you reminded and convinced me to do it. I’m so glad you enjoyed my pearl valentines table and I appreciate the feature. XO- MaryJo
Thank you, MaryJo, for your sweet thoughts! I hope the silver trick works on your silver pieces. And I need to finish getting around to everyone. I’ve been outside covering plants this week, and wrote two posts today (Saturday) and tossing more seed out for the birds who are ravenous in this cold. We braved the road in the Dodge Ram (4W drive) to Winco to load up on birdseed. Roads were fine. ๐
Keep warm and i hope your power stays on,
Hugs,
Barb ๐
Barb, thanks so much for the link-up and the great visit. Have a great week ahead.
Thank you, Melynda! I appreciate your sweet thoughts.
Keep warm out your way,
Hugs,
Barb ๐
I’m hoping the storm misses us, but I think we’re going to get hit hard! Thanks so much for the party!
Prayers for your safety and warmth and power staying on, Pam!
Sending warm hugs (and virtual firewood, lol!),
Barb ๐
We are praying that everyone stays safe and warm this weekend! It is a frigid morning in our world this morning, Barb, with -40 wind chills! BRRR! In fact, it’s too cold to even snow! Thanks so much for featuring our “Snow Kidding” post! We’re delighted to be included in all the fun posts you’ve featured this week!
Holy cow, Laura!!! Too cold to even snow?? I’ve never heard of that before, wow… Prayers for your power to stay on, that you have enough generators and firewood just in case, and blankets. <3 Your Snow Kidding post is really cute! I still need to get by, but I loved your post!
Again, hang in there! My son and his family live up in Sioux Falls, SD; a brother and his family live in Ohio and another brother and his family in CT, and they are all freezing… Peter, my son, I think has it the coldest with the wind chill… I'm glad his apartment is in the middle of his building. He gets everyone else's residual heat, lol!
Sending warm thoughts and hugs,
Barb ๐
