A Quick Post ~ An American Patriotic Mantel Vignette

Patriotic decor is easy to recreate here in America taking our cues from our flag’s deep red and white stripes and the navy blues in the background field behind our stars.  With that I thought I’d create a quick patriotic mantel styling post for you with those
same rich American colors…

America’s colors  look beautiful in the evening light here on our mantel and I had fun putting this vignette together from my own “Capt. America,” Mr. Ethereal, and his collection of military books. From the books to the plates and several brightly burning white candles everything quietly says, “I am an American.”

I chose these particular things with great care and I’ll share more of why I chose what I did for this mantel in a post later this month.

For now though I thought I’d just share this little vignette with you.
A precursor of more to come!

“Where flowers bloom so does hope.”

  1. So pretty. I never think about patriotic decor but I should. Love your blue transferware. One of my good friends has a huge collection of the blue. I have a few pieces of red that I like to use for Christmas but I guess I could use it for a Patriotic spread too. Thanks for the inspiration.

  2. Thank you, Jeanie! I was really glad to find these four Independance Hall plates a couple of years ago while thrift shopping in California. Hope all is well,Barb 🙂
