Setting an elegant Thanksgiving table with your favorite china is one of the simple joys of celebrating
with friends and family.
Go for a mismatched theme
I’ve used two types of glassware and four different
china plates here to create this festive fall outdoor table.
The lovely fall weather we are having plus the
pansies and Johnny jump-ups picked up at a local
garden center a couple of weeks ago
helped inspire today’s tablesetting.

Add some natural decor
Just-in flowers for fall and winter nestled among real and faux
Baby Boo and Cinderella pumpkins add a lovely counterpoint
of color to the otherwise soft fall colors
in this tablesetting.
The addition of the pansies really was a happy accident
as I have yet to plant a bunch of them and I was
looking around to add a little color to the table!
This small addition is something really easy to include
to make your fall table really stand out.
Repeat your table’s colors
The welcome addition of a simple softly-colored large
French napkin laid across the table’s center
in the same soft
pale orange and pale green colors as in
the larger pumpkins
really helps bring the whole tablesetting together.
Bring out your best
Finally adding in real silver placesettings just adds that
little coupe de grace to any tablesetting whether
set up indoors of out.
All of the glassware here came from HomeGoods
over the past year or so and actually
most of what is on the table today is plastic ~
great for having our alfresco dinner.
