Welcome, dear friends, to this month’s Pinterest Challenge! We are celebrating by creating beautiful Easter centerpieces to go with our home decor style. Thank you to our host Cindy of County Road 407 for gathering all of us chicks together each month! Enjoy this joy-filled centerpiece tour…

Once again, Cindy has chosen the perfect photograph to inspire and challenge us. We hope our centerpieces provide inspiration for you in your own decorating this season. If you are coming over from Carol at Bluesky at Home for the first time, welcome!
Let the joy begin!

Emily has put together a rustic tray filled with a sweet silvered rabbit which guards two crystal salt and pepper shakers, and is nestled amongst Spanish moss, speckled eggs, a flower-filled basket and a covered stack of pastel plates. I love this soft spring look!
Lovely!!

My Easter centerpiece
I began our centerpiece with looking for a basket or vase in my stash which would give the appropriate height and volume as the woven basket did in Emily’s Easter vignette. This resin urn features birds and grapes in its design, and is a favorite piece I have had for maybe 20 years now.

I next looked at the faux peonies and mini hydrangeas which I had just gleaned at our bouquet-making-party at school during a staff Valentine’s Day luncheon. I was able to add these to the mini hydrangeas already situated in the urn creating a really full bouquet. ๐

For a raised tray, I chose a large painted metal tray found at at the Rose Bowl flea market in California back (1990’s/2000’s). It is large enough to hold all of the goodies! ๐

Looking through our “Spring” box, I remembered these little resin figures my mother-in-law gave me years ago. They are the perfect little bunny village tucked in with green moss, painted eggs, and a sweet ducky and bunny…
The larger velvet bunny wearing a flowered neckband is a Rachel Ashwell (Shabby Chic) find from Home Goods a couple of years ago.
Of course, eggs represent rebirth which spring shares with us each year. I think of Easter’s message of Hope for our hurting world… It’s nice that we can share these happy centerpieces with you as a piece of this hope.

The plate stack inside the cloche is the coup de grรขce on this Easter cake of a centerpiece!
***(I totally forgot to grab a pair of s/p shakers; I have several, and some tiny crystal ones with silver lids which I used at those teas long ago.)

I was able to bring in a little faux carrot paired with this Easter ornament I found at one of the craft stores or a gift shop back when our adult kids were small.

The plate stack itself shares our wedding colors of light pink, dark pink, lavender and purple. Funny how those colors have followed us all throughout our marriage… <3 Some of these plates were given to me, like the purple-edged ones which a former teacher I worked with gave me when the teacups were broken.

Many of these lovelies were found at thrift shops and antique stores when we still lived in California and I was hanging out with my tea friends once a month (or more).

The final thing I added last minute is this spring tablecloth I sewed several years ago while we lived in our RV. Just the right touch!
How are you decorating this spring season? Let me know in the comments. ๐

Up next is my friend Laura from Decor to Adore. Laura always has the most beautiful decor with so many beautiful antiques found while living in Germany and traveling throughout Europe, many special family pieces, as well as incorporating her prairie heritage being related to Laura Ingalls Wilder ~ still one of my absolute favorite authors to this day. I know you will love what Laura has created!
