Sunday Sentiments…Fruit of the Spirit

My Sunday Sentiment

this week is being thankful for the
blessings of fruit trees!

Our dwarf orange is producing another bountiful
year of wonderful fruit even with last winter’s
lack of rains and water restrictions
since last January!
The oranges are just ripening
and I was able to pick some early ones
just this week.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Paul to the Galatians, Galatians 5:22-23

Also out in our backyard, we have a
lemon and a lime tree.
(You can just see the lemon in the left photo, top, above.)
Sometimes the lime gets cross-pollinated

as we can’t get the trees
far enough apart in the backyard, so we
often get limons,

but they still taste good!

The trees over by my crosswalk in late December ~ they are lovely in each season but especially in fall!

My daughter went with me to Lowe’s one day
in the spring and we came across
some apple trees.

She was excited as the type available
was one which could

withstand our summer heat ~

so we brought one home.

It is still a baby

no fruit on it yet!

She is waiting with bated breath.

The apple tree has to be a little older and
it needs colder winters
to get it producing.

We will be putting ice on it, like our lilac,
to help it along.

Later on, in late January to mid-February,
I go through
orange withdrawl
when our tree runs out.
while there is fruit,
life is good!

Bountiful harvest blessings to you
this month
and through the Holidays!
