12 Days of Christmas ~ Fall Comes to North Texas (Day 9)

Advertisements

Fall has finally come to Texas and it peaked here the third week of December! Of course, Christmas is just a few days away, but… you must see all of the gorgeous colors…

*** Go around and capture a few more photos of the beautiful fall foliage before it is gone!

Those words typed above are what I write on pretty much every post as I start them, so I know where I am going with it. Do you do that? Anyway, I thought I’d leave them instead of deleting like I usually do. 😉

This past weekend, the leaves started falling en masse. Our kids are going to miss fall by one week ~ bummer!

Isn’t this an interesting memorial to the cattle drives after the Civil War? I saw this when I went down to Frisco, Texas to go shopping at Stonebriar Mall for some Christmas presents. I quickly stopped, leaning over as far as I could and shot out the front window of our truck. Very tall! Apartments or condominiums sit all around it. 🙂

Here are those apartments on the right side. Love the sweet bells hanging over the street! It was really quiet and there were no cars around, so I could stop and safely take a couple of photos.

As the sun was setting, I went to visit my husband at his work to see if he was done for the day. I got a little private tour around the warehouse and snapped this staff lunchroom. Really pretty with Christmas trees at each packaging station inside the warehouse and each of the breakrooms!

Grocery shopping out in Flower Mound, Texas…

This is natural with no enhancing in post photography! Love all the fruitless pear trees.

Christmas walkabouts

Taken on one of my many walks ~ I love the little trees tucked behind Southmont Church’s sign!

This house was pretty all autumn, too, with pumpkins and gourds up those steps. Cute!!!

My iPhone’s camera takes a few seconds to shoot the picture when it “adds lighting” to a scene. It was really dark this morning with no moonlight.

The homeowners must have kids as this yard is sooo cheerful! I can just see children helping their parents to set up all of these little decorations.

Ethereal beauty…

Just a few last fall photos here in North Texas!

Gorgeous garlands on both sides of these gates!

I appreciate all of the hard work people go to to make their homes, businesses and entries festive for the holiday season. I hope you have enjoyed this little photographic tour of the fall season and Christmas decor around North Texas!
