Happy Summer, y’all!

I have embraced the “y’all!” as you can see! 😉 And this week I got two posts out for you!! It was a tiny bit cooler this past weekend, so Hubby and I finished up: the shed (him) and I worked on digging more holes in the newest flowerbed. The yard is coming along as you will see in the attached post.

Can you believe it is summertime? We have been having summer weather for 3 or 4 weeks now, hovering between 95-105 degrees. Feels great when it is only 92 degrees, let me tell you. 🙂 And we are at SYS #350 this week! I came in as a host back at #173 in September 2017, not knowing that by the following spring, I’d be solo. At first it was scary, but now I’m so used to writing it, it’s just some “copy and paste” from week to week, though I bet there are ways to make it even easier.

I love looking at what everyone posts, and that leads me to this next thought…

Well, let’s get to our features, shall we?!!

We have a full plate of fun features for you from patriotic posts, to chickens at a flea market, personal thoughts and ambitions, art, thriftshopping and an auction, plus our usual tablescape and recipe ideas. It’s gonna be a good one!

Here’s what I shared this past week at French Ethereal…

Happy Father’s Day from Daddy’s New Shed ~ and which one we picked to hold all the “stinky” yard things. 😉
Summer Garden Update ~ a look at the new flowerbed in progress and a look at the roses!

  1. Barb,
Thanks so much for hosting this wonderful party each and every week!! I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into it along with visiting all the links and choosing Features!!! Thank You!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
    Hugs,
    Deb

  2. Oh, I just love the “heavy metal” intro! Love your garden angel and the summer flower display. Thanks for having us over Barb. I was just marveling at the #350 Share Your Style is close to 7 years old. Didn’t know if you knew our friend Sherry from No Minimalist Here started the party and I took over for her for a few years about a year later. Lots of fun throughout the years. Have a great week, hope you get to slow down soon!

    1. I was literally just looking back at my Blogger account. I came on at #173 (September 2017) and took over all alone in 2018. Amazing how time flies! And no, I didn’t know who actually started SYS. I have tried to make it fun and broaden out from home decor. Share Your Style is a perfect name! Thank you for letting me know about Sherry. I’ll check out her blog. ☺️

  3. Thanks so much for hosting Barb & featuring my paint upcycle projects. It’s super appreciated! I’m loving all the work on the yard! Thnx for sharing. See you next week. XO- MaryJo

  4. Thanks so much for hosting, Barb, and for including me in your features! I really am so impressed with your garden. It’s not my strength and I admire those who do it so well!

    1. You’re most welcome, Jeanie! I’m sorry Rick got sick. I think we had the cold Covid version late last fall. For me, it wasn’t too bad and the Covid shots did their job: kep my lungs from getting too sick. I’ll take a nasty “head cold” to full-blown Covid any day! I’m glad he is feeling better. Love all the artwork at your friend’s show and you next to your favorite!!! Happy Wednesday!

    1. For a short time, like going for a walk, it’s doable. I take a lot of breaks to get a drink indoors. Happy walking! And thank you for your thoughts and concern! I am careful. 💕

  5. There are so many great features this week, Barb! I am so ready for lazy summer days! I was just griping that it is going to be 89 degrees here on Sunday, which is way too hot for me! Mostly our summer temperatures hover in the high 70s to low 80s which is absolutely perfect summer weather in my opinion! Stay cool, my friend!

    Shelbee

    1. I agree with you in temps, Shelbee. I have not right to complain. We had a lovely 80 degree spring which lasted a good month longer than normal and the perfect 17 mph winds for weeks, which was perfect for the plants! Now it’s just hot and sticky. Here’s to an early fall, lol!!! 😂

  6. Hi Barb, congratulations on hosting for so many weeks. I look forward to seeing all the bloggers each week which wouldn’t happen without your dedication. Happy to see your shed project. It’s on my list of things to do. Your garden looks lovely. Appreciate the feature for “The Flea Market”. It was a fun day to share. Have a great week.
    Lynne

  7. I completely understand your feeling of relief at 92°, as last week just had to be a glimpse of what hell is like. Strong storms last night have given way to 85 for us today – woohoo! I’m chillin’ in the a/c of my office space with summer vibes in my collected home at #36. Congrats on #350, wow! Thank you!
