We had a very nice Christmas and ended up driving down to Austin over New Year’s to visit our daughter since she couldn’t come up our way afterall. Just a quick two-day getaway, but also very nice!

I am picking up posts from our last Share Your Style (#286) two weeks ago. Thank you to you all for this time of relaxation! I didn’t take much time off when I was ill in October, so it was nice to follow the example of other blogger/design influencers and take these past two weeks off… Thank you! <3 Happy to be back, though!!!

  1. Hi Barb, I just saw your wonderful new fencing, wow, it’s gorgeous. Love the “frenchy” look! Glad you were able to get some projects accomplished. Thanks so much for sharing my urn with paperwhites! Hope you’re having a great week.

    1. Happy New Year to you, Debra! Glad you enjoyed the feature. <3 I am loving the French fence in its final spot... It has been dragged around since our first year up in Sanger at the RV park there.

      Welcome to 2021!
      Hugs,
      Barb 🙂

  2. Barb, happy to hear that you were able to travel and visit your daughter at Christmas.
Is this the daughter with the new baby? Or am I confused with someone else???
If so excuse my senior moment!
Many thanks for the feature, and I hope you have a blessed (covid-free) year.
    Hugs,
    Rachelle

    1. Hello Rachelle! Only a little confused: our son Peter has the new baby. Our daughter isn’t married and no grandbabies on her side!! 😉 Maybe someday… Happy New Year to you! Glad you like the feature. <3

No kidding on the Covid-free blessings, thank you,
      Big hugs,
      Barb 🙂

    1. Michelle, you are so welcome! Glad you enjoyed the feature!! I enjoy seeing what everyone is doing and creating and its fun choosing what to feature each week. <3

      Happy New Year to you,
      Barb 🙂

  3. Barb, thank you for the January holiday gift by featuring my Christmas table! It was a delightful surprise that I very much appreciate.

  4. Barb, you are so sweet! Thanks so much for the feature this week! Right beside my dear friend Michelle for Style Imitating Art! Isn’t it cool how different our looks are from the same art style prompt? Wishing you all the best in the new year!

    1. I know! I think it dawned on my later that you must be friends, and yes I like the two totally different looks from the same idea. <3 REally fun idea, Shelbee!!! Wishing you all the best in this New Year, too...

      Wintery hugs,
      Barb 🙂

  5. Hi Barb, welcome back! I hope your time off felt invigorating with the projects completed and rejuvenating in restoring your health. Never did I ever think 2021 would start as it has when I wrote my tongue-in-cheek Now What, 2021? Let’s just say I was happy to assemble my 2020: It’s a Wrap! Here’s to mending fences (figuratively, of course, not literally since you just constructed yours!) in 2021. xo

    1. Thank you, Rita! It was a nice time getting some things done, creating some sweet memories with the kids, and our little grandson… He enjoyed his first Christmas and is now becoming a handful grabbing everything when he is seated on his parents’ dining table (the channel changer, dishes, everything, lol!). <3 I hope after the inauguration things will calm down but I DON'T wish for the country to go back into lockdown... Seriously, do we want to destroy America?? Okay, I'll get off my soapbox. Pres. Trump is narcissistic but he was a good businessman and good for American economy overall. Well, here's to more fence building, if approved! And a better 2021!!!

      Many hugs,
      Barb 🙂

  6. Barb,
Thanks so much for the feature!! I gave you a Shout Out on Face book and will do so in my next post!! Thanks to for visiting and for hosting!!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
    Hugs,
    Deb

  7. Happy New Year Barb. Thanks for the party and I love your new, old fence. Looks great. Have a great week and I am looking forward to sharing here in 2021.

    XO- MaryJo

    1. Hi MaryJo! Nice to see you again, too!! Thank you… I am loving the new old fence a lot. It’ll be nice when I get some brick around the new planter bed and figure out how to lay down a good pathway. Happy you’ll be by for SYS a lot this year, woo hoo!

Happy New Year to you and your family,
      Big hugs,
      Barb 🙂

    1. Thank you, Elsa!!! I hope you enjoyed the featured post this week at Share Your Style #287. <3 I wanted to comment on the post (which is yours from a couple of weeks ago) but I didn't find a place to add comments (doesn't help that I can't read Dutch, lol! Only a bit of Deutsch anymore... 😉 ).

Blessings to you in this New Year,
      Hugs,
      Barb 🙂

  8. Thank you so much for featuring my snowflake ornaments, Barb, I really appreciate it! They were fun to make and I can’t wait to use them next year too. I’m so glad you had the chance to visit with your family over the holidays. I swear, there is nothing like it especially after this year. Sending you lots of hugs and thank yous, Happy New Year, CoCo

    1. That’s it, CoCo! I really needed to see Amy… I miss the kids… The biggest thing I really wanted out of life was to have my own family and happily I have one. It’s nice to have a little grandson now, too, to spoil! I need to find more fun things for him for Easter… Shopping!!! ;)’

Glad you enjoyed the feature! I love snowflakes hanging from the chandelier and have done that before. Maybe next year again?!!
      Hugs,
      Barb 🙂
