    1. Thank you, Jean! I haven’t had eggplant parmesan in a long time but I do love to eat it if I get the chance. I need to try growing some “aubergines” next summer as I am looking to put in one long raised bed for growing vegetables.

      Happy holiday hugs to you,
      Barb 🙂

    1. You are most welcome, Naush! Glad you enjoy the party and all the features. 🙂 I need to search out your specific posts and I am sorry I haven’t looked for them more often. I do try to get around to visit everyone who links up (eventually!). Part of the craziness of life, lol!!

Blessings to you this holiday season,
      Barb 🙂

  1. Beautiful post you did on the advent wreath. It’s a lovely tradition and I haven’t used one since we belonged to a Presbyterian church when our girls were young. Thankyou for sharing that. Thanks for hosting each week, Barb. Our Thanksgiving was quiet too. Take care and enjoy the Advent Season!

    1. Oh, I am glad you have enjoyed having an Advent wreath in the past with your family, Debra!! The Spirit of Christmas and sentimentality, the prayerful time, and beauty of the candlelight really hits home with me this year. I am missing my parents and now my father-in-law as they are no longer here, my grandmother Helen and the grandparents I never really knew, and of course my kids who all live north and south of us… It’s a tough year all around for everyone but we will muddle through! I like what President Trump said at the beginning of this whole Covid virus time: That we are in a war against this virus and so… We will soldier on!

Happy Advent Season to you, too,
      With warm hugs,
      Barb 🙂

    1. You are most welcome, MaryJo!! I enjoy seeing all the wonderful things everyone creates and how they decorate. Gives me lots of ideas, too. 🙂

      Happy holidays to you,
      Barb 🙂

  2. Barbara, thank you for all this beauty! I have an open window on Niky’s post to linger over the gift ideas. MaryJo’s tree is lovely! And yes, my mouth is watering over those foods – so gorgeous just plated! I really enjoyed your post on your Advent wreath. I grew up Catholic, and it’s a tradition my family always used. Even though I may not have the actual wreath, I still try to take time and use prayer prompts. I could kick myself for not buying a vintage wreath I found at an estate sale this past summer. Still thinking about it……
Thank you for hosting us, and I hope you’re well beyond your illness without any residuals effects.

    1. Thank you, Rita! Glad you like the feature!! I think we are pretty much recovered at this point. I went back for a full week at school this week. I came home tired and slept from 6:30-7:00 onward (other than waking up at night, which is kinda of usual anyway) until 5:00am when I have to get up. Looking forward to our Christmas break of two weeks so I can blog and clean, plus enjoy the Christmas season.

      Holiday hugs to you,
      Barb

Thank you for hosting each week and for giving us a creative place to hang out. Praying for you and your husband as you continue to recover from COVID. Big hugs and thank yous, CoCo
