Share Your Style #257

Welcome to Share Your Style #257!  This link party is for home decor, DIY, crafts, recipes and the like, but you are more than welcome to share your family-friendly posts with us all. Please feel free to share this post and join my small but loyal band of followers. I appreciate you! As always, I am glad that you are here… 💝

Soooo many great posts to choose from this week!!!

Just a Note: I do want to let you know that we will be driving home from South Dakota next Wednesday, so there will be a Share Your Style but I will probably only choose a few features, just depends on connectivity where we are. Thank you! We are heading up to see our son and DIL and little Milo, who will be 6 1/2 weeks then. We are also taking half of the garage with us, lol! We are bringing Peter’s childhood things, books, t-shirts and such that were packed out of our house in 2015. The SUV is FULL!!! 👊👏👪 Oh, and the pole vault poles… On the roof!

This is Peter Chapman receiving his First Place blue medal winning ribbon from CIF State Championships in June 2012. You can see his winning height in the background. The poles we are carrying up are almost 17′ long. He is coaching now on the side ~ like father like son. Oh, and Peter won 30 years almost-to-the-day from when Charles took 2nd Place (first loser, as they like to joke!) because he was just too sick to continue vaulting and physically couldn’t vault his best. Charles jump over 15′ at that CIF State Meet in 1981. Very proud of them both!! 💞

I asked to be tested for antibodies this week for the COVID-19 virus since I was sooo sick last January/February (really, a full month!). I tested negative but I found out that the antibodies are present 2 weeks after one recovers, so… If you’ve just been ill, you can donate plasma!!! The doctor thinks that they (antibodies) have dropped off, if I did have the virus. All of the symptoms were there except for being hospitalized and on oxygen/ventilator. Keep us in your prayers that little Milo will stay healthy.

It’s a quick social distancing visit for maybe 20 min to an hour only for dinner Thursday evening and Friday evening. We knew this going in, so I won’t be able to hug Milo (yet!) but that vaccine will be out soon, then watch out M for many hugs and tickles and cuddles from Gramma!!!

The kids are naturally worried (the media hype isn’t helping…) and could use extra prayer warriors praying protection for all their health, thank you!

I am Barbara Chapman your host and I’d love it if you’d follow me here on my blog and on any of my other social media sites, too.  Thank you! 😉

  1. Love these pretty features, Barb, and thanks so much for hosting. I hope you're having a great week and I'm super excited you're heading to see Milo. He's such a cutie pie. Enjoy every minute! Hugs, CoCo

  2. Barb,Thank you so much for hosting. I am so thrilled to have my garden tour post in the feature. I hope you have a wonderful trip. Milo is so precious! It's always great to have a clean garage 🙂 I still have my son's Harley- ugh!xo Lisa S

  3. Thanks for featuring me and thanks for hosting. Have a great trip and I understand that it will be hard not to hug your sweet grandchild. It will be nice when we can get back to normal. Stay well and safeThelma xo

  4. Thank you so much, Barb, for choosing my rooster to be featured this week, your sweet words, and for all the help you gave me on the watermark. It looks great! Smiles, Linda at Paper Seedlings

  5. Barb, have a wonderful and safe trip meeting little Milo! I'm so very sorry you were so sick earlier this year. My sister thought she and other family members caught the flu from their daughter/granddaughter who came from Seattle. Now we are all wondering… When available in SC, she'll go get the antibody tests.

  6. Hi Barbara, Thanks very much for the feature!I would be curious too. I remember how sick you were. It took a long time for you to feel better.Have safe trip and enjoy Milo! Sorry you can't hug and kiss the face but soon.Cindy

  7. Have an awesome visit with your son, dil and baby Milo, Barb. I know you will, even with the restrictions. I have three nieces who are pregnant now and the pandemic is scary, esp for one, a first-time mom. I can remember those first-time mom jitters of being around people, so I totally understand new moms in this weirdness. Safe travels. Can you believe Karin's purchase?! I'm stoked to see how that unfolds. Fractional share purchases can be a great way to share the burden of buying into something like that – a freakin' castle!Linda's artwork is great – esp the rooster, cardinal, and that terrier dog!Have a great week, Barb. Thanks for SYS.
