Crushing on Roses!

Our backyard garden ~ Spring 2014 ~ my signature…
I love roses!
There is no doubt about it that
I am head-over-heels
for
pretty much anything
with roses on it!

For a Christmas present last year from our Victorian Tea Society, we received this lovely handkerchief and greeting card! Each year, Marlene, our board president, and the board members painstakingly choose a gift that all members will love.

Souvenir de la Malmaison and Mary roses
a cute metal rose (lovely, faded 40’s green!)
bought at
The Vintage Marketplace
sale in Fallbrook/Rainbow, CA
a lovely teacup and saucer with a napkin rose curled within ~ my son found on the internet and sent to me.
I will happily give credit to whomever created this, when you see this!
🙂

I love silk roses paired
with lace…

I love roses scattered over
ethereal fabrics…

And, if I could have afforded this mirror
too
It would now be
the mirror
above my French desk/vanity
in my bedroom…

Did I mention that even Yoda loves roses?…
lovely Redouté print

Et je ne laisserais jamais rien t’arriver non plus. Je t’aime.”

The Soul of the Rose ~ painting by John William Waterhouse

I have this painting in a giclee print…

It is a favorite!
Actually, I bought it at a cute shop in Old Fallbrook, California
back about 10 years ago
for my birthday…
😉

Funny how roses
keep finding me…
